Ferries
Ferries run from Algeciras in Spain (next to Gibraltar), Gibralter and Tarifa (a bit further round the coast from Gibralter). They run to Tangier and Ceuta and take from 35 minutes for the fast ones to 90 minutes for the slower ones. Although they are frequent, there seems to be some element of uncertainty about sticking to timetables.
A route frequently taken by travellers to this area of Morocco is to fly to Malaga or Gibraltar and take a taxi / car to the ferry port followed by a short ferry journey.
