Ceuta

Although physically a spur of land on the mainland of Africa, Ceuta is actually part of Spain and there is a customs point between Ceuta and Fnidiq which is the Moroccan town closest to it. Ceuta is pretty much the closest point of Africa to the European mainland. Travel from Ceuta to the Moroccan resorts is probably best either by taxis (one to the border and one from the other side of the border) or by arranging a pickup at the port/heliport from someone on the Moroccan side.

There are two routes to / from Ceuta.
• By Ferry (mainly from Algeciras)
• By scheduled helicopter service from Malaga (approx €120 one way)
