Air Travel to/from The Area

Flights are mainly to / from Tangier with Monarch flying to Gibraltar (followed by a ferry trip to Ceuta / Tangier) and Helicopter flights between Malaga and Ceuta.

Tangier

At present there is not a huge choice of flights to Tangier direct from the UK (Royal Air Maroc or Atlas Blue from Heathrow). This does not offer much for the traveller on a budget.

Other airlines flying into Tangier are :

  • Easyjet and Iberia (from Madrid)
  • Regional Airlines (from Malaga)
  • JetAirFly who are part of the Tui (Thomson) group
  • Atlas Blue who are the “budget” arm of Royal Air Maroc.

From the South of Britain, the journey is not too bad given direct flights on Atlas Blue and good connections via Madrid using Easyjet. Departing from elsewhere in the country requires a little more planning.

From the North UK, air travel to Tangiers is via European hubs such as Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam and Madrid.

Flight times and numbers are given in the tables Outbound and Return. Note that I haven't bothered giving flights to Malaga as there are too many to count.

There are a number of "flight finder" websites which can help. Some of these are given on the Contacts page.
